Bonding
Bonding is typically used for cosmetic purposes to enhance the appearance of chipped or discoloured teeth. Resin is adhered (bonded) to the existing tooth for the desired cosmetic effect.
Bridges
Bridges have been around a long time and can be used to permanently replace missing teeth. A bridge is actually a string of connected crowns that are attached to one another. Other than a bridge, the only other way to permanently replace a missing tooth is with an implant.
Crowns
Also known as a “cap” this is an artificial covering that is fitted to a tooth in situations where a tooth is damaged or decayed or cracked to the point where the tooth can no longer predictably hold a filling. They can be made of many materials including gold and porcelain and even a mixture of both. At our office we specialize in all porcelain crowns using a technology called CADCAM on our CEREC machine.
Desensitizing
Aside from desensitizing toothpastes and mouthwashes, we can also provide higher strength desensitizing agents directly to the sensitive spot on a tooth to reduce discomfort.
Dentures (Full)
Used to replace all the teeth at once.
Dentures (Partial)
Partial dentures are used as an inexpensive way to replace multiple teeth at once. It is a removable appliance and is commonly referred to as a plate.
Dentures (Implant Supported)
Loose and uncomfortable dentures are a common cause of poor nutrition in seniors that can lead to additional health problems. This treatment is an exciting new way to make dentures fit snug. Just a few implants are placed in the jaw and buttons are inserted to the underside of the denture. Then the denture snaps in and is held firmly in the mouth.
Extractions
Sometimes a tooth is damaged beyond repair and extraction is the only option.
Fillings
We mostly use white filling material also know as resin for our fillings due to its more conservative nature and superior aesthetics.
Implants
Implants are artificial roots made of Titanium that are permanently attached to the jaw in places where teeth are missing. A post is then inserted into the titanium root and a crown or bridge is permanently attached. Considered the best way to replace lost teeth.
Inlays & Onlays
An inlay is the same as a white filling only the material used is porcelain as opposed to resin. While costlier, they are the most durable of all white materials. An onlay is a larger version of an inlay that usually involves covering one or more of the large corners of the tooth. We use a technology called CADCAM on our CEREC machine.
Laser Gum Therapy
We use a laser in our office for gingivectomies (re-contouring the gums), canker sores, pocket reduction (gum disease). The many benefits include, less healing discomfort and less healing time.
Mouth Guards
A custom made mouth guard is a must for athletes to protect against potential damage to the teeth during sports.
Night Guard & TMJ Therapy
TMJDS is a syndrome whereby the jaws become very painful when opening and closing. Once properly diagnosed, the condition can be effectively treated by wearing a nightguard which is hard clear acrylic mouthguard that fits over the teeth and is worn as recommended.
Orthodontics (Invisalign)
Invisalign is an orthodontic technique used to straighten teeth without placing braces. Using 3D computer processing, a series of mouth guards are made and worn to gently align the teeth to the desired position. Not all orthodontic cases can be done with Invisalign.
Sealants
Sealants are a clear permanent coating that is placed in the grooves of a child’s molars. This procedure has been shown to reduce the incidence of cavities in children.
Veneers
Veneers are a highly cosmetic procedure whereby a thin facing of porcelain is placed permanently on the front of one or many teeth to straighten, whiten and improve the cosmetic appearance. It’s a highly conservative procedure that yields beautiful results.
Whitening
We use professional strength whitening products that combined with custom made trays, offer our patients a safe and effective way to brighten your smile.

Hygiene and preventive maintenance are essential to your oral health. We recommend dental check-ups at least every six months. Having your check-ups at regular intervals allows your hygienist to keep an accurate record of your oral health. Also, regular check-ups reduce the chances of oral problems becoming large procedures. During your appointment with our hygienist your mouth is checked to see if it is healthy, he/she will look for cavities and measure the bone levels around your teeth. Your teeth will be examined for chips, breaks, or malformation, your bite tested and finally your teeth will undergo a complete cleaning.
During your cleaning plaque and tarter are removed from just below your gum line and on the surfaces of your teeth. This is essential to good oral health. Tartar and plaque buildup are the main causes of bacterial growth that leads to bone loss and periodontal disease. New studies are showing that poor oral health maybe contributory to the development and exacerbation of other diseases such as heart disease, stroke, arthritis, diabetes and other auto-immune diseases.
